Dynamic Move List in GB studio
A downloadable asset pack
This project is a tutorial on how to create a Pokémon-like move list in GB studio using only built-in features and events. You can download the project file to poke around the code and help you follow along the written tutorial.
Moves slots are tracked using ID's. Each ID has a name associated with it that gets printed into menu events using ASCII code values. The ID is also used when a move is selected to determine the move's effect. This project should be useful for GB Studio turn-based combat games or games with text-based inventories.
Built in GB Studio 4.1.3. Unless a major overhaul happens with how scripts and printing variables happens I think this implementation should be possible in future versions
